City of Sydney submission to Infrastructure Australia - Oct 08 – Dec 4th 2008

Unfortunately, cyclists pursuing this Project have now been informed that Infrastructure Australia specifically excluded cycling infrastructure from eligible submissions. Although the City of Sydney submission has failed in this instance, the City of Sydney is reportedly pursuing other funding sources for the development of an inner-Sydney cycle network ( including HarbourLink).

THE LATEST:  Earlier this month (April 2010) we were informed that the benefit / cost ratio (BCR) for the City of Sydney's Inner Sydney Regional Bikeplan study involving 15 inner suburban councils has come up with a BCR of 3.88:1.  Normally Infrastructure Australia funds projects with BCR's of just 2.1:1.
